Oh, Dan!

Oh, Dan, How you love airsoft!
Dan talked his dad into taking his to a big airsoft field where a bunch of people get together, break into teams, and have a battle.  Well they were having a great time until Dan was ambushed and shot at. In the intensity of the game he didn't notice that his tooth was shot out. (he spit it out thinking it was a pellet) when the battle was over he noticed that his tooth was missing. So a couple of dentist visits later a new crown will make it look good as new.

Dan loves playing with his cousin Eric. They took turns tying each other up. Dan has taught him many manly skills (much to his parents dismay) such as punching and sword fighting.
Dan's latest obsession has been to obtain an indoor cat.
This has been going on for several months but it started with this beautiful drawing he put on the back of our bedroom door.
A close up of the best part.
It is a battle of the wills, we  will see who wins?

Some Girl Fun 2012

We pulled out the jump rope and had some fun we tried new tricks and learned some jump rope rhymes.

Hannah loves her playhouse She invited some friends over and they spent all their time there.
We went with Carrie and the boys to a skate park.
The girls had so much fun.

Nate & Eric even got into it.
They can't wait to go back again.

Fun with Ben& Karen's Family Dec 2011

The weather was nice so we took Ben & Karen's family hiking to one of our favorite spots.
There are rocks to climb, caves and lots of places to explore.
All the kiddos
Karen helped Sarah to train Sammy, he is becoming an obedient dog.
One afternoon we got all the kids out and played kickball.
Everyone had fun.

We were so glad they made the long trip, we loved having them here.

Christmas 2011

Ben, Karen & Family came out to see us for Christmas. We were very excited because visitors at Christmas are few and far between. We had such a fun time with their family.
Grandma & Grandpa came over Christmas morning too.
Family is great.
Jared with all the girls in the background.
The show-off girls,
My girls had such fun with Cora & Nicole.
Ben, Karen & Jared
Matthew and Dan
I thought this picture was so cute, Jared & Nicole had to sit by Dan while we watched the Nativity movie.
We had a fun time with Dan's gift. He asked for a Glock airsoft gun but he really didn't think he would get it and we hid it well. So the girls helped me wrap it up. We did a box in a box in a box down to what he is holding in the picture which was wrapped in Duck tape.
Needless to say he was very surprised.

The first one to leave the nest. Dec. 20, 2011

We sent Shem off on the plane to the Mission Training Center where he will be until March. Then he will be off to Ukraine for two whole years. We are sad to see him go but we are glad he made this choice and we look forward to hearing of his experiences in Ukraine.
We Love You Shem!

Isabelle's Baptism Nov. 27, 2011

Isabelle's big day!
She asked Daniel to baptize her.
She asked Shem to confirm her. I think it is pretty awesome that she wanted her brothers to be a part in this important step in her life. It is also pretty awesome that her brothers are worthy to perform such an important ordinance.
Grandma & Grandpa Sedrick were there and also Carrie, Mitch, Eric & Nathan.
She is the last of our Children to be baptized, we are so pleased that they have all chosen to follow their Savior Jesus Christ in this important step of their life.

Thanksgiving in Idaho, (Jenkins) 2011

The girls all got together and hung out at Grandma's house where they watched a movie and learned to crochet. They were over there so long I had to check on them to see what was going on. They had a fun time hanging with G-ma.
When the girls weren't at Grandma's they were climbing in all the hidey holes at Dan & Maureen's house.
This is what happens when you hold still for just a moment.

Everyone is ready for our yummy Thanksgiving meal.
Even Cora
Everyone is getting ready for the Talent Show.
Shem playing "Across the Burren"
Cora singing a song with a little help from Isabelle
Verena even got in on it, playing some songs on her guitar.
Josh singing the "Stalking Song"
Kolby joined in on the last part of the song.
Nicole recited a poem.
Mason was our comedian telling some good jokes.
Kate and Kamri doing the silly "Jellyfish" dance.
Sarah, Hannah, & Aleena putting on their puppet show.
Will, Dan, & Adam said their only talent was eating pumpkin pie.
So we rigged up a pie eating contest.
Will won!
Samantha's talent was the hula hoop.
Everyone else had to join in and try it.
Of course what else do you do on Thanksgiving after your belly is full and you are relaxed?
Nap of course.
Before we left Idaho we had to go to the Temple. So we, Tiffiny, Shaun & I took our two pre-missionaries Shem & Kolby to the Rexburg Temple. We are so excited to have these two cousins choose to serve a mission and to be going at the same time. They were actually in the MTC together for a few weeks. I can't wait to see their growth when they return.
